A memo from CEO Chris Bishop:
As leaders, the choices we make and the actions we take in the first quarter of the year not only set the tone for the year but also set the expectation for how we will close in Q4. Starting strong is the foundation for ending strong.
It feels like I blinked and the quarter is over, but looking back it is incredible to realize the new deals, new resources and new processes we organized in three short months.
New Deals
New deals inked in Q1 include the Cardiovascular Institute of Amarillo – the only outpatient center in the area dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular procedures. Outpatient cardiology procedures are one of the brightest opportunities for patients to receive the highest quality care combined with convenience in a cost-effective setting. We’re proud to partner with local cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and Northwest Texas Healthcare System.
New Resources
As we bring many new centers online in 2022, we continue to level-up our clinical, administrative, and operational capabilities. In 2021 we announced many new executive leaders at Regent and in Q1 we built out those teams with incredible talent that is already delivering clinical, operational, and financial growth to our partners.
Our annual administrator meeting transformed this year into a 3-day conference in Nashville dedicated to leadership training and collaboration. In addition to learning together, we also honored our 2021 Admin of the Year, Amanda Nonkovich from Palos SurgiCenter.
Our industry has faced unprecedented challenges and Amanda, like so many of our exceptional center administrators, rose to the occasion. Amanda earned this recognition by increasing case volume, exceeding revenue goals, increasing patient satisfaction, and adding otology as a new service line. But perhaps the most impressive accomplishment has been creating a culture where employees love to work!
New Culture
The heart of any great organization – whether it’s a surgery center or a Fortune 50 company – is its culture. Our culture and values have always been important to Regent but now, they serve a new purpose to unite us as we grow and evolve at a record pace.
Regent CARES is a great example of that. We recently awarded scholarships to deserving and hardworking students who exhibit the RISE values and whose parents work at Regent.
Our culture lives inside and outside of Regent. Our team is the reason we started the year strong. As we continue to invest in our team capacity and capability, it will be the #1 reason we finish strong in Q2, 2022, and beyond.
