Regent Surgical Health, one of the nation’s leading surgery center management and development companies, today announced the promotion of Bob Ryan as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ryan, who joined the company in early 2016 as vice president of operations for the northeast, leverages more than 25 years of experience working with physician partnerships in multi-site healthcare facilities and managing physician/hospital ambulatory surgery center (ASC) joint venture partnerships.

In his previous role, Ryan was responsible for overseeing daily operations for multiple Regent surgery centers working with administrators and surgery center management to ensure clinical readiness. He led the company’s relationships with health systems Christiana Health (Delaware), Catholic Health of Long Island (New York), and Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Endosurgical Center (New Jersey).

As COO, Ryan will oversee Regent operations in the United States and abroad for Regent’s 25 partner centers, including 18 hospital/physician JVs and several new ventures under development. He will leverage his clinical and business expertise to elevate Regent’s operating model to best serve Regent’s partners thru changing market conditions.
Prior to joining Regent, Ryan served as senior vice president at TLC Vision. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Rutgers University, Ernest Mario College of Pharmacy.
