A groundbreaking ceremony for Georgetown Surgery Center was held September 29 hosted by Andy Davis, President & CEO of Ascension Texas, alongside Regent Surgical Health executives, Ascension Texas executives, and local community leaders.
Located at 1101 Wolf Lakes Drive, Georgetown Surgery Center will offer outpatient surgical services including orthopedics, joint replacement, spine, and gastrointestinal procedures.
“This new center represents the long-term vision of everyone involved, and we look forward to opening our doors to the community and increasing access to convenient, high-quality surgical care locally,” said Dr. Robert Just, gastroenterologist and board president of Georgetown Surgery Center.
The 20,000-square-foot facility will include four operating rooms, two GI rooms, one procedure room, and a total joint replacement program.
“Breaking ground on Georgetown Surgery Center marks another milestone in our partnership with Ascension and aligns with our mission of providing exceptional, patient-focused care in the communities where we live and work,” said Chris Bishop, CEO of Regent Surgical Health. “Together with high-quality surgeons, we are transforming what’s possible in the outpatient setting and increasing access to innovative, outcomes-based care.”
The multispecialty ambulatory surgery center is a joint venture between Ascension Texas, surgeon partners, and Regent Surgical Health. Project completion is planned for summer 2023.
